Shannon is currently working as a Psychiatry resident by day at the Boston Medical Center, and reclaiming her first love of oil painting in her free hours. As early as she can remember she loved drawing and painting, and has always been compelled by the intricacies and nuances of the human face.

This current series was produced in 2008 - 2009. It explores several themes: the human expression, the nature of light, texture, the background as a subject in its own right, and using a variety of techniques for applying oil paint.
